Specialized Athlete Performance

Athletic performance is the external expression of an interconnected physical system. Every sprint, jump, cut, throw, and change of direction requires specific contributions from joints, muscles, connective tissues, and the nervous system.

At NTS, we specialize in understanding those demands, assessing an athlete's available physical capacities, and systematically developing what may be missing.

Whether an athlete needs comprehensive physical preparation or targeted development alongside an existing S&C program, we tailor our approach to their sport, training history, current capabilities, and performance goals.

We work with competitive athletes across developmental levels, including healthy athletes, those with previous injuries, and athletes returning to higher physical demands following rehabilitation.

Program Features

Joint Function & Positional Strength
Develop usable joint workspace, active control, and strength in the positions required for sport, expanding the physical options available to the athlete.
Tissue-Specific Loading Capacity
Progressively develop the ability of muscles, tendons, and other connective tissues to tolerate and produce force across relevant positons, directions, and loading speeds.
Strength & Power
Develop the force-production qualities necessary for athletic performance, with training targeted to the athlete's existing capabilities and sport-specific demands.
Speed, Acceleration, & Deceleration
Improve linear and multidirectional movement by developing mechanics, force application, braking ability, and change-of-direction performance.
Reactive Strength & Athletic Expression
Develop the ability to rapidly absorb, produce, and redirect force connecting underlying physical capcaities to explosive and reactive sport movements.
Individualized Assessment & Progression
Evaluate sport demands, movement capabilities, joint and tissue capacities, and relevant performance qualities to establish priorities, guide progressive training, and reassess adaptations over time

The NTS Difference

We don't begin with exercises. We begin with the physical qualities that need to be developed.

An athlete may possess tremendous strength but lack the hip function necessary to access certain positions. Another may move well at slower speeds but lack the tissue capacity or reactive strength to tolerate high-speed sport demands.

Our job is to identify these gaps and develop the underlying physical system from which performance emerges.

Training may involve comprehensive athletic preparation, targeted joint and tissue development, or specialized work integrated with an athlete's existing training program.

The objective is the same: expand the athlete's physical capabilities, improve their performance ceiling, and build greater capacity for the demands of competition.
